Openness in areas of resource, education, science and data have its place in the future. The Open work shows how important this is for people around the world. No time in history can someone work seamlessly from one continent with another. Even though this work is global, anyone (educator through student) can participate and be a content creator, an author and an advocate for copyrights.
Initiative(s)
SPARC Open Education Leadership Fellow - I have a final project that entails creating a campus plan of featuring international students at San Antonio College, a community college of the Alamo Colleges, being creators of bilingual and openly licensed resources and adding marketable skills lessons to e-portfolios.
Regional Leaders of Education (RLOE) program - The current strategic plan for this project is similar to the SPARC campus plan with the addition of student collaborators potentially receive Experiential learning credits.
Texas Open Education 2022 - As a program committee member and participant the 2021 Open Education conference, I realize that I have the education, experience and commitment to collaborate and lead other OE advocates in the field.
