We’re excited to announce that everyone can witness the live-streamed unveiling of the winners of the 2025 Open Education Awards for Excellence on YouTube.

This year’s theme, inspired by the beauty of ecology, began its journey back in May 2025, when we called upon the community to “plant seeds of recognition”. This initiative has sprouted into a vibrant collection of nearly 200 nominees from 42 countries, each one a vital part of our diverse ecosystem of open education. You can explore their stories and learn about their impactful projects as we celebrate their dedication to this essential cause.
With the expertise of our seasoned gardeners—our review committee, composed of past awardees—we’ve carefully nurtured the nominees into a shortlist of finalists, ready to be recognized for their outstanding efforts.
Mark your calendars for the live celebration event, where we’ll unveil the 2025 OEAwards winners. This celebration also serves as the OEGlobal Tour 2025‘s final destination after three days of exploring Open Education.
